Ajamu fine art photography
Ajamu (born 1963) is a Black, queer British artist, curator, archivist and activist. He is best known for his fine art photography which explores same-sex desire, and the Black male body. He has exhibited internationally for decades and his work is featured in many museums and collections through out the world, including Tate Britain. His work was in ‘Kiss My Genders’ at The Haywood Gallery and ‘Get Up, Stand Up Now: Generations of Black Creative Pioneers’ at Somerset House.
His work as an archivist and activist has been to document the lives and experiences of the black LGBTQ community in the UK. The January/February issue of Frieze magazine features his work and a limited edition artist book will be launched in early January. We are delighted to be able to offer these limited edition prints, to commemorate the launch of his book. Giclée prints on Hahnemühle Platinum Rag, the images measure 10 Inches x 8 Inches.
